Launched five years ago, the all-ceramic Dark Side of the Moon is one of the most definitive Omega Speedmasters Replica Dark Side of the Moon of this generation. Back then the idea of an blacked-out Speedy would have seemed like an attempt to turn a tired workhorse trendy.
In keeping with the DSOTM series, the Apollo 8 still has the same 44.25mm zirconium oxide ceramic case. Though it’s significantly larger than the Moon Watch, the size is not apparent due to the Fake Omega Watches Ebay dark colour of the case and dial.
Practically everything on the outside is ceramic, including the bezel, crown, pushers and case back. The ceramic is sharply finished, with alternating brushed and mirrored polishing, giving it a precise surface that resembles metal. But that’s where the similarities end.
Unlike earlier DSOTM Speedmasters which were powered by the two-register, Best Omega Replica Watches Review Co-Axial calibre 9300, the Apollo 8 Speedmaster houses the old school, hand-wound cal. 1861, the same movement found in the current iteration of the classic Moon Watch. But while the mechanics remain the same, it has been specially decorated for the Apollo 8, and christened the cal. 1869.
The most distinctive change, however, is the skeletonised dial, revealing the movement’s blackened main plate – matched with blackened screws – itself also open-worked and decorated via a process of laser ablation to achieve a topologically accurate surface of the Moon; basically a miniature replica of the Moon on the dial. And the relief Retail Swiss Omega Fake Watches on the dial are also executed with laser ablation.
Every year Omega introduces certain models in platinum, sometimes gold, typically as a limited edition with fancy decoration or dials; last year was the turn of the platinum Swiss Omega Aqua Terra Fake Watches Worldtimer with an enamel dial. These top of the line watches are always launched quietly, perhaps because they are preposterously expensive. But they are always cool.
Dive watches with exotic dials are not new – Rolex used to make a Submariner Omega Replica Watches with a lapis lazuli dial – but they are rare. The Seamaster 300 with semi-precious stone dials is not a limited edition, but only a small number will be made.
Available in 18k yellow gold or platinum, the cases have the same dimensions as the pedestrian steel models, 41mm in diameter and 14.65mm high. Good enough for modern tastes, but still small enough to keep the retro feel of a proper remake.
The weight of the Omega Professional Replica watches, however, is surprising, given their size. With platinum almost three times as dense as stainless steel, the platinum model feels exceptionally hefty, probably weighing close to 500g or a pound. In terms of tangible quality, the watches live up to their cost.
The dials are undoubtedly the highlight. Either lapis lazuli or malachite, the dials have printed markings and slightly sunken hour markers, with the faux vintage Super-LumiNova painted into engraved recesses. Given the Omega Replica Watches Swiss Movement fragility of stone dials – the thin slice of stone has to be bonded to a metal back for stability – the engraved hour markers are a surprising touch.
It has been 25 years since Omega first introduced us to the Seamaster Diver 300m. In those 25 years we have seen a lot of development including new colorways and new technology. This year Omega is reintroducing us to the Seamaster Professional with the Seamaster Diver 300M Titanium Tantalum Limited Edition. A version of this Fake Omega Watches that will feature Tantalum as the base metal of the bezel and middle links of the bracelet as well as grade 2 titanium for the case and contrasting links in the bracelet. This watch will also feature details of Omega’s proprietary 18k Sedna Gold on the crown, bezel ring, helium escape valve, and the hands of the watch.
Model: Seamaster Diver 300m Titanium Tantalum Limited Edition
Case Material: Titanium with a Tantalum base on the bezel and bracelet center links
Movement: Omega In-House Master Chronometer 8806
Strap/Bracelet: Titanium bracelet with Tantalum and 18k Sedna Gold center links
My very first impression when I saw this Titanium/Tantalum version of the Seamaster Professional was that it came across as strikingly feminine and that it wasn’t something that I would normally consider. It wasn’t until I started to dive into some of the technology behind the use of Sedna Gold and Tantalum that my interests were piqued. Tantalum Omega Replica Watches Swiss Movement is an inert lustrous material similar to Titanium that does not corrode and looks silvery blue when polished. It’s impressive when it can be incorporated into something like a watch due to its extreme hardness and difficulty to work with. That mixed with Sedna gold, a proprietary alloy of gold, copper, and palladium that Omega uses to ensure its luster over a long period of time makes this watch very impressive to me. While it’s still not a watch that would fit my personal aesthetic, I do think that it shows Omega’s abilities when it comes to watch manufacturing.
The Omega Seamaster Diver 300m Titanium Tantalum Limited Edition might seem like, “just another,” version of an otherwise established and less-exciting series from Omega. It’s not until you really dig into what this watch is made of and what that represents before you start to see its appeal. Tantalum was introduced, in part, to the watch-scene by Omega Seamaster Professional Replica with the debut of the original Seamaster Diver 300m 25 years ago, and their use of it today as a reference to their own history is an important detail to catch.
